The CPR/ AED course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
During this course, you will gain knowledge and skills that will help save the life of an adult who is having a cardiac arrest. You will learn the key elements to first aid and how to assess life-threatening conditions while providing needed care if necessary.
The skills learned in the BLS course will help you recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help a person until EMS arrives. This course is designed to prepare you to provide first aid, CPR, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
